It's a strange issue, not a major deal breaker, but annoying enough for me to want to see if I can fix it. Interestingly I tried the intro above on a C64 emulator on my Android phone and that also exhibited the issue! Vice on my PC doesn't though. It is back again, but will still disappear if I let the machine warm up for a few minutes.ĭoes anyone have any idea what it could be? So I put the 8701 in the C64C and used the "working" power supply and the problem was fixed. Then I tried swapping a few ICs and narrowed it down to the MOS 8701. I then thought it was the power supply because I used a different one with the G and it was working So I tried that power supply on the C and the issue was still there. I also have a C64G, which does have the issue, but I originally thought it didn't because it seemed to work first go. I have a few breadbins here and they don't have the issue. It sort of seems like the task bar is attempting to be displayed but its only like 2-5 pixels.

FLICKERY PIXLES IN GAMES FULL

For some reason When I'm playing a game in full screen (CS:GO, G-mod, Minecraft etc.) the bottom few pixels flicker with a black/grey color. I also see the same issue in certain games, which also goes away once it has been on for a while. I have an HP laptop with Windows 10 that I go like 2 days ago. If I let the C64 run for a few minutes then power off and on again and load the intro, the issue goes away. The intro I'm using to reproduce the issue is here Įvery single time after a cold boot I can replicate it with the above demo. When I first boot up I will sometimes see a few flickering pixels as seen in the video below (on the left above the scrolling text)
